Nintendo has made so many iconic games in its history that they have forever solidified their place in gaming culture. But as more and more people move away from console gaming and mobile games become the biggest market for games today, Nintendo is trying to get in on that mobile game action.

Nintendo Chief Executive Tatsumi Kimishima announced Nintendo’s new console today, but more importantly he announced some new Nintendo games that are coming to mobile devices soon.

Nintendo got into the mobile market with their instant messaging app Miitomo, which has already been downloaded over 10 million times. Now the video game giant will be releasing Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem for mobile devices, and nerds everywhere are so excited for this new series of Nintendo games.

Both games are expected to be released on iOS and Android app stores between October and December of this year, so keep an eye out!
